Liverpool charged to the top of the Barclays Premier League with a thumping victory over struggling Derby County at Anfield.
Goals from Xavi Alonso (2), Fernando Torres (2), Ryan Babel and Andriy Voronin gave Rafa Benitez's side a 6-0 stroll over the Rams.
Fellow Merseysiders Everton are also tied on the top of the table, having snatched a 2-1 victory at Bolton through Joleon Lescott's late header.
Spurs were denied a morale-boosting victory after surrendering a two-goal lead at Fulham. Diomansy Kamara sealed a point for the Cottagers with an injury-time overhead kick.
There was also late drama at St James' Park, where Michael Owen struck three minutes from time to give Newcastle a 1-0 victory over Wigan, who had Kevin Kilbane dismissed in the second half.
West Ham notched an impressive 3-0 victory at Reading, thanks to goals from Craig Bellamy and Matthew Etherington (2).
Middlesbrough enjoyed a comfortable 2-0 victory over Birmingham City at the Riverside Stadium, thanks to first-half strikes from David Wheater and Stewart Downing.
